Photography Weekend
with Stanley Matchett
Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal

Spring Weekend 20th - 22nd April 2012

Autumn Weekend 12th - 14th October 2012

The landscape is rugged, spectacular, breathtaking and diverse. From beaches of silvery sand to magnificent Mount Errigal, Donegal has been described as a landscape photographers' paradise.

Just bought yourself a new digital camera? Not too familiar with your software/hardware, gigabytes and megabytes? Maybe you still like film?

Why not join award-winning professional photographer, Stanley Matchett, F.R.P.S., B.I.P.P.
He recently received an M.B.E., in recognition of his contribution to Photo-Journalism.

You will learn how to transform your 'snaps' into memorable pictures. You will be part of a small friendly group where all levels of ability are welcome. Individual help and advise is always available.

Presentations will show the abundance of photo opportunities in Dunfanaghy area. However, if you
prefer 'people' pictures, we will show you how... A location shoot with a model in an exquisitely
made period dress from the collection of one of Belfast's top designers.

As a contrast, a character study of a local 'old timer' will capture the atmosphere of the area. Stunning pictures are assured.

The weekends have attracted almost 900 guests from as far away as Germany, England, Scotland, Dublin, Cork, and off course many from Northern Ireland.

One visitor, John A Stringer, former chief executive N.I. Chamber of Commerce and Industry commented, "Stanley, a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, is a well experienced lecturer and leader with the ability to weld together a diverse group and deliver education and encouragement in a friendly and helpful manner".

The photography courses now in their 20th year, have been featured on the 'Holiday Ireland" travel programme on Ulster Television and RTE, which is an indication of the quality and popularity of the courses.

Stanley has also presented several programmes featuring Photography on UTV and his pictures
have been exhibited on the World Press Photo at the Hague in Holland. He was three times Northern
Ireland Sports Photographer of the year and also Rothmans Press Photographer of the year.
